Acrania signs management deal with Extreme Management Group

Based out of Mexico City, Acrania are paving a new road for Latin American based heavy metal and have been carving out their place in the genre through the bands impressive discography. Acrania’s most recent release “Fearless” caught the attention of Extreme Management Group and led to a worldwide management deal alongside bands such as SUFFOCATION, CATTLE DECAPITATION, CRYPTOPSY, ORIGIN, RINGS OF SATURN, ATHEIST and others.

Acrania mesh the technical sounds of legendary thrash metal bands ATHEIST and CYNIC with an epic Latin twist including tenor saxophone, trumpet and percussion. The bands music video for “Treason, Politics & Death” showcases an eclectic and over the top performance, of which you can expect to see at any Acrania show.

Here’s what Winter Solace has to say about it:

“Of all the release I have done, this one will be one of my favorites to go back and listen to when I am old. This was the single greatest album of 2015, which was not surprisingly shot under the radar despite being supported by the Mexican Official Historical Society. Prog/Death,Thrash with Jazz Fusion music with Latin instruments. This album is being prasied by actual press as the only metal album to come out of Mexico that is truly Mexican.”

Angry Metal Guy Reviewed Fearless

“Simply put, Fearless is a tour de force of nearly everything I love in music. It has the intensity and intelligence of Death and Cynic, the rhythmic tomfoolery of Meshuggah, the adventurousness of The Mars Volta, incisive lyrics of Gaza or Gojira, and heaps of Latin flavor that I grew up playing in so many school jazz bands. It’s so fresh it makes Genghis Tron look like Bloodbath and so fun it makes Revocation look like the National Society of Accountants.”

Another Review for Fearless (This Time by No Clean Singing)

“A number of you have certainly heard Elements, the final album by Atheist before they broke up in the ’90s. It was a record on which the band tapped more strongly into their fusion, Latin, and jazz influences. I’m as much a fan of it as the other Atheist releases, but even if you aren’t, imagine that sound Atheist went after on Elements mixed with a mid-’90s to early-2000’s death/thrash alongside a ripping melodic death metal influence.”

We’re stoked to have Fearless reviewed by the guys at No Clean Singing, you can go here to read the entire post.
